C++ is a general-purpose programming language and is widely used nowadays for competitive programming. It has imperative, object-oriented and generic programming features. C++ runs on lots of platforms like Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac etc. It is a cross-platform language that can be used to create high-performance applications. C++ was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup, as an extension to the C language with object-oriented programming paradigm. It gives programmers a high level of control over system resources and memory.
C++ is a powerful general-purpose programming language. It can be used to develop operating systems, browsers, games, and so on. After learning C++, it will be much easier to learn other programming languages like Java, Python, etc.C++ helps you to understand the internal architecture of a computer, how computer stores and retrieves information.C++ supports different ways of programming like procedural, object-oriented, functional, and so on. This makes C++ powerful as well as flexible. The learning objective of this course is to understand how C++ improves C with object-oriented features, write inline functions for efficiency and performance and learn the syntax and semantics of the C++ programming language. The aim of the course is to learn C++ classes for code reuse, to implement copy constructors and class member functions, understand the concept of data abstraction and encapsulation and how to overload functions and operators in C++. The aim also includes understanding of important features of Object-oriented paradigm such as inheritance to promote code reuse in C++, how inheritance and virtual functions implement dynamic binding with polymorphism and perform exception handling in C++ programs. The course also aims to introduce the designing and implementing of generic classes with C++ templates
