Forensic science is the use of scientific methods or expertise to investigate crimes or examine evidence that might be presented in a court of law. Forensic Science is a broad field that includes - DNA analysis, fingerprint analysis, blood stain pattern analysis, firearms examination and ballistics and many more. Forensic Science not only contributesto investigation and prosecution of any kind of direct crimes such as fraud (cyber and physical), murder, drug trafficking but also in matters in which a direct crime has not been committed but in which someone is charged with a civil wrong such as wilful pollution of air or water or causing industrial injuries. Almost any science can be a part of forensic science because almost every science can contribute to solve a crime or in evaluating a civil harm. In fact, with few exceptions, forensic sciences are no different in what is studied in traditional sciences. The only difference is that forensic scientists apply the methods and techniques to established scientific evidences in legal matters.
This study will assist the students in analyzing numerous forensic topics, knowledge about cyber laws, understanding the mindset of criminals and the forensic investigation and many other relevant areas of Forensic Science.
